The People of action
Showcase

A PLACE AND OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE YOUR PROGRAM, YOUR PROJECT AND YOUR STORY AND TO DEMONSTRATE THAT WE ARE PEOPLE OF ACTION

Your Guide to The Showcase

The Showcase is open to all Rotary Clubs, Rotary Programs, District Committees and individuals who wish to have a forum to promote their projects, demonstrate the impact of their programs and offer opportunities for others to be involved. As the Showcase will be open to the people of Broken Hill as well as Conference delegates we are looking for displays that will highlight the amazing work of Rotary and Rotarians as People of Action.

STEP 1: Register
Fill out a registration form and submit it by the 1st March 2019 deadline in order to secure a spot in The Showcase. We have a limited space, so hurry, complete your registration form as soon as you can.

Step 2: Put Someone In Charge
Please ask a club or committee member to take on this project and make sure this person or a representative can attend the conference to set up and staff the booth. The Showcase area will be open Friday morning, Saturday and Sunday, during breaks and lunch and an hour after the Saturday lunch break. Ideally, someone should be available during those times to answer any questions and engage with people as they visit your booth!   More details about opening and closing times will be available soon.

Step 3: Select Your Top Event
Highlight the project or program that you think will have the biggest wow factor for the audience – something unique to your Club/Committee or a project where you are looking for further support.

STEP 4: JAZZ UP YOUR BOOTH
Banners and promotional materials are a great start but here are a few tips to attract people to your display

TEACH US SOMETHING
Did your club raise $10,000 at a fund raiser last year? Great job! Show us HOW you did it! As well as photos, share the letter you sent to sponsors, the press releases you used to get the word out, etc. This is a space for sharing and learning and what better way to empower another club to be successful than to share your recipe for success in detail?

SHOW US THE IMPACT
We’d love to see photos of the outcome of your project or fundraising effort. Show us what you did with the money you raised. If you implemented a program, share something about how that program has made a difference. If you distributed the funds to other organizations providing necessary services in your community, design oversized checks to display who received contributions. Help us visualize how your club impacts your community!

INVOLVE US
Is your booth about Youth Exchange? Hang up a jacket covered in pins for people to look at up close. Did your fundraiser benefit a certain cause? Give us a stack of samples or examples as a visual. Think of an actual item(s) that you could put on your display that captures your event and the imagination of your audience. Can you come up with fun facts about your exhibit or activity? Try creating a fun quiz for people to complete while browsing your stall – and go into the draw for a prize?
