26 November - Andrea Ogier - Cranofacial Australia
One of the ways ACMFF raises funds is with help from our Ambassadors, one of whom is Andrea Ogier. Andrea was born not only with a cleft palate; she also had a soft and hard palate deformity, which meant she didn’t have a roof in her mouth.  In her early years she was unable to speak, eat and drink in the way most of us know how. Andrea was the first patient in South Australia to undergo plastic surgery. Andrea’s personal journey of overcoming cruelty and adversity arising from her severe palate deformity is a moving and remarkable story. Andrea regularly visits  various community groups and businesses to speak about her own experiences and how the donations ACMFF receives go to assist those in similar circumstances.
